large media corporations see these channels and these networks as a small and shrinking part of their business.

They see the audiences declining.

And so I think that they are valuing them less.

And so they're more willing to push to to to adhere to the Trump administration's lines in order to get other larger regulatory business done.

And the people who are being installed are

to lead these organizations are not the people who are doing kind of trailblazing media innovation for the next generation.

They're really trying to shepherd these news organizations through a period of decline.

And so I think those two things are cohering to make these news organizations have a lot less backbone at the high up leadership level.
