It's a part that that is definitely true.

And I think they were happy to to ditch the to have MS now ditch the NBC part of the name and to ditch the peacock.

But but I do think that, you know, part of that is that was a win win for them.

They certainly have benefited from distancing themselves a little bit.

But also, I don't think Trump sees still sees a difference.

He still sees it as as part of the as part of the overall overall network.

it is still a part of uh you know it's still owned by brian roberts uh who owns nbc as well but but i i take i think your point's a fair one uh so my other my question to you is why do you think anderson chose to leave 60 minutes

You know, I think that there has been pretty broad reporting on this.

Our mutual friend and your former coworker, Oliver Darcy, reported that there was some friction between Barry Weiss and Anderson over a segment that Anderson Cooper had wanted to do.

And, you know, frankly, this was a huge blow to Barry, who had wanted to actually expand

Anderson Cooper within CBS had wanted him to be potentially the anchor of the CBS Evening News.

But, you know, there's been a lot of there's been a lot of speculation about what Anderson Cooper wants to do on in television news and in general.

And I think, as you know, he's he holds all the cards.

And so I think Anderson had some real concerns over some of the direction and editorial oversight from Barry Weiss, who, of course, you know, has had very little has very little

a broadcast experience.

And so a person like Anderson who has the opposite of that, I think certainly chafed at some of those, some of those concerns from Barry, along with some of the ideological concerns as well.
