And I think I think I was like confused about what socks I'd be wearing on day one.
So I uh like my riding socks didn't make it into my C post bag and
They went home instead.
So I didn't really realize they were missing until a couple days in when I went to like wear them.
Um and wearing waterproof socks is terrible in the heat.
It feels like, yeah, it's so I had like no choice.
I had
I had ones that were like stifling my feet or like these little ankle ones that burned my pale, bum white ankles.
Yeah.
And when I got to Fernie, my feet were so like dis like they were uncomfortable and cold.
And the waterproof socks, like I guess, did their job.
But like, yeah, I was that was one of the reasons I mean, I planned to get a hotel, but um I don't think I could have camped out that night comfortably 'cause I was so gross and wet.
So it was uh like it's an appropriate stopping point.

It feels early to fifty kilometers in, you know, to such a long race.
Um, but I I mean, I think it I think it worked for me.
The next choice is Butt's cabin.
And that's uh I mean not it's like a protected place to sleep, but it's not great.
