Um, and that's why I think I feel like I am like just happy to be part of that story, right?

We uh we called ourselves the divide collective and yeah, we're open to women, trends on binary, just basically underrepresented genders in ultracycling.
Um
It's been really cool.
I kind of um I kind of launched the group, but it's it's a collective, like I'm not the, you know, I'm not the one, like I guess I'm the one who kicked things off, but I feel like we self uh I was gonna say self-govern, but we kind of take care of ourselves, right?
Everybody contributes, everybody shares and it's uh primarily WhatsApp space, but we had weekly virtual meetups leading up to the divide.
It was so cool to meet.
people in in person online and get to see their faces and get to talk about our excitement and our fears and you know what we were going through in prep and kinda like crowdsource assistance and help and and stuff like that.
It's been cool to get to know some other riders.
We had a pre-ride shakeout in Banff and a meal and and just to kind of have these these connections so that you feel like, yeah, I'm doing this thing, but I'm
not entirely alone and uh and
For me, like getting into Ultra, I didn't have that many people to kind of lean into to get info from.
And I was living in Saskatoon and I was a rondineer cyclist.
So the rondineers were like formative in my um transition to self-supported racing.
