And it was frustrating to be wandering around at 130 in the morning when I wanted to be on like the dirt roads heading south towards Achita.

Um but yeah, that that was a little bit of a meltdown because it was so stupid.

And uh and it was a reroute.

So, you know, I was like, this shouldn't even exist.

Anyways, once I chose correctly and uh kind of

Yeah, was able to keep moving, but that section was a bit slow.

There was some trail and it's hard to navigate at night when you can't see as well, right?

Generally though I felt really confident and assured and I didn't have too many second guessing moments and uh yeah, and like zero mechanicals.

So that was uh helpful.

I would say when I came out of the C D T single track uh on the highway with fifty K to go, that's when I like kinda let myself believe it.

Because with fifty kilometers I could run it if I had to.

And I I didn't want to get complacent.

I feel like

I feel like we've got a lot of fables and stories about people who get complacent and then like struck by lightning or something terrible happens to them because they become too self-assured.

And I, you know, I felt confident.

I felt good racing, but I I wasn't visualizing the finish line.

I wasn't thinking about like my future or anything like that.

I just was, you know, um focusing on the moment and

in in one moment is all it takes to derail you, as I kind of have shown by those two little bales.

Like they could have been way worse.
