Um I yeah, I got you know, I got a bit lucky.

So I

I I felt like

I felt good because I was ahead of the record, but I didn't feel like I had it in the bag.

And near the end of the race, I started to get a bit like delusional.

And I imagined, you know, AK, LW, MH all like ganging up on me and like chasing me down the trail, like, you know, working together to try and like get me before I uh, you know, got to the the finish.

Kind of like a board game or something like that, you know, like they've got a bunch of rules of the dice.

And it was so funny because like they're not gonna like make a move and they're not gonna ride together.

And in my head, this reality was coming true around Silver City.

And I didn't want to sleep in Silver City and I probably should have the last time I slept was in Pie Town because I was afraid that Austin would sneak up on me and get ahead.

And it's like these movements are set.

These are past riders.

They're not gonna do anything unpredictable.

We know how their story pans out.

I know how my story from 2024 pans out.

But I I felt like something unpredictable could happen if I let my foot off the gas.

So yeah, I didn't didn't really let myself believe I was gonna actually break the record until I got to the pavement um near the finish.

And um and then I was like, okay, cool, like this, this is starting to feel really good.
