So I went and I talked to her.

And um, she connected me with an OT who had started her private practice about 10 years ago in Wichita, which is about an hour drive each way.

Um, and so I started working for her actually um that November of 2021 and was there for about nine or ten months, um, at about months.

Month five, I told her that I really wanted to be able to provide services in my hometown because there was nothing here.

Um, we had kids coming from Oklahoma, which

From where we are, it's about a five hour drive each way.

just because we have such a healthcare gap.

Um and so I said I I really want to start something there.

So she allowed me to open the Hutchinson location and I fell in love with my Hutch families.

I loved my Wichtaw families, but there's something special about your hometown.

And so um it was a couple months after that that I started asking myself, could I?

Could I do this?

Could I really do this?

Um, and you know, imposter syndrome was real.

I wasn't even a year out of school when I decided I was gonna open my private practice.

Um, but I am so glad that I did and now I'm serving over

Forty-five families.

Um, and I'm hiring my first employee next or this it's May at the end of this month.

Um, and yesterday was our six month mark.
