Um, and it made me realize that my closeness to the issues that she deals with.

becoming herself okay and self actualizing.
Um and then actually moving the plot.
Yeah, um, I feel like narcissistic abuse is something that isn't really talked a lot about.
Um, I didn't even really know it was a thing until I got into therapy and started talking to a professional about it.
Um, the hallmark of a narcissistic abuser is that they will do anything to make you an accessory to what they want.
their agenda, um, it's all about them, you know, perfect victim, stuff like that.
Um, and especially for kids who are raised around narcissists who are in positions of power in their lives, be it you know, family members, teachers, uh, mentors, whatever the case is, um, these kids are kind of
conditioned to become whatever the narcissist needs at the expense of their own sense of identity and self and agency.
Um and a lot of the time when
People
are raised with, say, narcissistic parents
those um people-pleasing patterns carry over into romantic relationships, friend relationships.
It makes it really hard to exist in these relationships that are meant to be partnerships because the victim of the narcissist doesn't know who they are and their default is to
become whatever they perceive their partner as needing.
