Um, and the repercussions.
And I know in some states, you know, with teachers that I talk to, they say we just talk about it on the day.
So regardless of whether an educator has one day, you know, 15 minutes, or they can do, you know, a month-long unit, we make sure that we have resources that are available.
And there are thematic ways to connect what happened on 9-11.
throughout different disciplines.
So for example, I remember one educator thought, you know, we had just told the story of Michelle Martacci and how she was Michelle.
If you
I'm sure Michelle Martacci was, you know, as again was uh working in the um at the World Trade Center when uh they were attacked, and so she was, you know, forced to, you know, evacuate quickly, evacuating downstairs.
So
Flights and flights of stairs in these shoes down through the underground mall, and she ended up walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.
And, you know, she didn't even think until after she got to the end of the bridge, oh my gosh, I've had these four inch heels on the whole time.
So there's this again, it's this idea of ordinary to extraordinary.
This ordinary object, a pair of shoes, becomes extraordinary through the story that it tells.
And uh I had an English teacher say, Oh, you know, this is sort of like
this idea of the the hero's journey.
You know, I can connect this in my English language arts class.
And that's something I had never thought of.
But there are ways to integrate the lessons and themes from nine eleven into different parts of the curriculum if there is only one day allotted to talking about that.
