I think I've invested in like three different mini fans that follow me from the pre-post set down into the dugout for the actual game itself.

And I just keep reminding myself, I'm not fielding a ground ball.

I'm not

and hit a baseball.

And so I have it relatively easy compared to the guys.

It's so tough.

I've never seen a season quite like this one, even when I was in the minor leagues.

You know, you had turnarounds and you had times that fell apart, but never this up and down.

And I remember being in D.C.

earlier in the season and, you know, they came out, they looked dominant.

You go, OK, is this the turning point?

And then things fell apart again.

They had another series win, probably two series after that.

And you ask them again, are things starting to click?

And you're just at the point now where not even being cynical, but you let go of asking that.

And you've just accepted this is going to be a weird up and down situation for them.

I thought it was very telling that Tony Mancelino, our interim manager, said yesterday that they're getting ready for goodbyes.

And he said it's going to be a really tough week and we're going to lose some key guys that mean a lot to us.

So that means...

There's definitely more to be dealt with here in addition to how the season is already playing out, which just makes you wonder how things are going to turn.
