So over the weekend, at one point, there was 12 wildfires that were burning at the same time.
Utah has been able to get their hands on some of them, so those numbers are going down.
But you're also looking at one wildfire that bled into Colorado, and then that one turned deadly.
So it is just wildfire after wildfire.

So we were talking to fire officials and she really explained it to me in the best way.
Unfortunately, she called it sort of a perfect storm of bad conditions.
She was explaining because of the ongoing drought that Utah has experienced, the record low snowpack.
It is essentially helping just fuel all of the flames that set up and then added with the dry conditions, incredibly low humidity.
At one point, we experienced five percent humidity.
That's nothing.
The last couple of days, we've had really strong winds, which created a lot of active fire behavior.
And just weather really helped elevate so many of these fires.
It's really unfortunate there.
So this is the Snyder fire and it started burning between Colorado and Utah and it merged along the border.
That was during the weekend when there was a particularly dangerous situation, red flag warning that was issued for that region.
Well, there were several firefighters that were told to
that were trapped by the fire.
They had no chance to escape.
