How long have you got now?
Especially around school readiness.
Is there something we can do where we can really either support parents more or make sure that there is more of an emphasis on really preparing children
so that they have a more equitable start at five?
that there aren't enough people who see those early years as education opportunities.
You had a...
gang member, basically, say to you, what you've done is just made me sit down and play with my child for three.
And he came back to give that feedback.
We want that.
As you do.
you first take your baby home and you go in for some regular checks and then that kind of falls away a little bit.
And those, I'm not taking anything away from those early days, like that is crucial for connection and all sorts of things.
But then there is kind of a few years in between where it's like there's actually still lots of things that,
would be really useful.
Yeah, I sometimes used to joke, and it was very much a joke, but to my husband, like, we're nearly at the end of the 1,000 days.
Are we there yet?
We'll be all right at the end of the 1,000 days.
And then once we got there, it was like, oh, yeah, no, no, there's still work to do.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah, OK, so, well, if the magic wand was hard, then this will be hard too.
