I sold the project expecting to make a certain amount of money and I made more than that.
And I'm happy to give that back to the client and say, you know, we overestimated or we were wrong in a category.
We thought that that door package was going to come in at 12,000.
And when it showed up, it showed up at 8,000.
So here's a credit.
Yeah.
No, I just want to add one more thing that I think is super liberating and I want to make sure your listeners get to hear it.
Um, with the coat method, because we're no longer marking stuff up, which is a crazy concept from, right?
Right.
We're not marking anything up anymore, right?
Because we're not marking anything up.
We, we have no, um, risk associated with those items.
So if a client wants to change the countertop material from stone, category three stone to a category one stone to reduce the cost of the project, that's fine with us.
We'll just change that line and the cost will drop by that amount.
But our overhead is locked up and preserved and our profit is locked up and preserved.
And so the project items can go up in it.
Like the client's not getting penalized for picking expensive stuff necessarily.
And we're not getting penalized when they pick up some price fist or fixtures to reduce costs.
And this is one of the big things is it functions as an insulator.
So you're not tying your profit to the cost of product.
