So when he trumpeted the five-year deal with Jerome Luai, and then I found out a month or so later that it actually wasn't a five-year deal.

It was a two-year deal with an option every single year.

Naturally, that was a big story last year.

And you could see that I had no idea I'd end up at the Chiefs and being able to exploit that clause to get him out.

But then I did some more digging.
