Um for us it's an opportunity with the way our draft is constructed that y you get to have them a year earlier than when they

Join your team.

So I think for us, we look at the way it's set up right now and we can develop a relationship with the kids that hopefully lasts a long time and they believe in the development process and all the stuff that Jason and his staff do for them and build that relationship so that, you know, when they have the option to potentially leave that they can understand how much we've invested into their development and I think that's kinda what we want to leave them with.

So we'll kick off our exhibition season this weekend in Tumblr Ridge B C.

We'll play two games against Prince George on Friday and Sunday, and then the following week we're down in Red Deer uh Friday and then Saturday in Stony Plain against Calgary.

Yeah, it is surreal.

Certainly uh remember a few postgame trips to nineteen oh five with uh certain hosts of the show.

Yeah, at that time you're just trying to get your feet wet, experience any way you can and

Just try to work as hard as you can so people notice and do a good job.

I think w because we scout at such a young age that body type is uh extremely important.

You wanna be able to evaluate uh potential for physical maturity to

play in the league kind of three or four down three or four years down the road from when you're drafted.

And then of course uh when you're getting up to the next level, skating and hockey sense are gonna be at an absolute premium, so that's stuff we look for.

And then kind of as we've evaluated the the players uh leading up to the first two thirds of the year the

Behavior and how they're acting on the ice and off the ice starts to come into focus a little more and that's something we certainly focus on.
