And we didn't summit.
We got close, but we didn't summit.
But I was hooked.
And I said, this is something that I want to do.
I want to train for this.
I want to be able to do this the right way.
We did Grand Teton the first time around, which is almost 14,000 feet in Wyoming.
Got to just about 80 feet from the summit and got snowed off.
Couldn't do it because of ice.
That was disappointing.
That'll come to play into one of my stories because Grand Teton is a very technical mountain, but the first 12,000 feet or so, it's pretty much a hike.
So it's altitude you've got to deal with.
And you're dealing with rock and stuff like that, but it's pretty much a hike.
You get to your base camp where you stay the night.
The next day, pretty much the last 150, 200 feet to the summit is you're scaling a wall.
And it's not an expert...
an average climber can do it but you got to be very very careful with it and you've got a guide and you're roped in and we're all roped in through our belts to our guide who's leading the way this way if you slip off the mountain you have some protection um and uh slip off the mountain it gets better this is a true story you can actually see these photos somewhere online
We summited Grand Teton the second time around, and we got up to the top, 13,950 feet.
And I was able to FaceTime my wife from up there, which was a pretty cool thing.
That's cool.
