Well certainly uh there's severe pressure on on householders, farmers, hollyers, tradespeople at this pr and business people at this present time.
Fair and the government has to take that into into into account.
Um we have uh twelve thousand three hundred and fifteen people have fallen into mortgage arrears.
We have three hundred and twenty-two thousand people uh are in electricity bill uh payment arrears.
So we have a serious crisis here, a cost of living crisis, and it's also uh compounded by the fact that people are going in doing their weekly shopping and it's it's rising dramatically even by week by week now.
A lot of the women are telling me, and and me too, but mainly women are telling me that they're being hit severely in the pocket.
twenty and thirty euros sometimes a jump in the in the price of the grocery.
So the government must factor this in in relation to the budget.
And we have a P and B uh this week in the Doll that is is pleading with the government to look at the fuel and you have to the only way you can give something back to people is is is to try do it through the fuel, through through the the the the petrol pumps and through the home heating oil uh and the and the farmers getting the farmers' diesel.
And that's not happening at the present.

Um a lot was done at a very late stage.
A a very late stage and it took the protest.
uh to get come to wake up to understand the the crisis that people are are in, uh Claire.
But there certainly is more movement here.
Like they must immediately abolish any more increases in carbon tax because people are under massive pressure and carbon tax hits it it it hits everybody because if if the fuel goes up in relation to the hauler or goes up in relation to the farmer, it hits the the ordinary householder.
uh when they're buying their shopping.
