Common sense, they're calling for it.
And unfortunately, common sense hasn't been played in this country up to now.
Well, the reality of the situation that Ireland finds itself in is that we are not energy independent and nowhere near it.
But other countries have managed to do it.
Other countries have managed to do it, haven't they?
That's the question I'd ask the Green Party.
They were in government for four to five years and it didn't happen.
There's too many objections out there and getting away with offshore energy.
We do know what the American can offer their country and other countries, but we can't do that here in Ireland.
And until we can, we have to look.

It's not fair to say that it's not commercially viable.
We don't know that until the operators are given a license.
And the government has continuously refused to give them a license.
They're not asking for money.
They're asking for a license.
And my belief is any profits that come out of that company should go into the renewables in order.
