There's a really interesting article in The Spectator written by Winston Marshall about how he said it's an actual anti-woke film.
That actually what it's trying to demonstrate is the opposite of what you think it is, you know.
And I thought, oh, that's interesting.
I read the article before I went to see the movie.
Because obviously it's about masculinity in many ways.
You know, it's about this very heroic type character and how loyal he is to his men.
Well, that's been the conversation for the last 20 years or so, in some ways.
Obviously, all this talk about toxic masculinity and men are a big problem.
And, of course, some men really are a big problem.
But it's just, you take a giant movie like that and you make them slightly more heroic.

and that's the big worry, I think, for a lot of people.
There's that great bit of poetry in that.
There's a book called Salt by an African poet.
I can't remember what it is, but I recommended it many, many moons ago on this podcast.
Yeah, probably in season one or season two.
But there's a lovely, tiny, short poem in the book, and it says, Show me who you are, because I will get to see you in the end.
