I think you have to apply the rules.
It's that 50-50 clash ball here and there.
But, you see, you can't have it both ways and this is the thing.
So, I think there's a responsibility, I've said this before, on coaches and on players as well because, but by your nature going out in these games, you're going to do whatever you can to win.
So, it's that, there's lads simulating frees, there's ducking in, there's all that and the real strong referee will call that once or twice and say, I'm not giving the free, you're looking for the free, I'm not giving it to you.
And,
And behaviours will change then.
Players are highly intelligent.
They know what they're doing.
They're sent out in a certain way.
They'll adapt to that and they'll respond to that.
And I've said this years ago.
I remember one year temporarily under Liam Sheeley.
I noticed a trend in the first half of all the games.
They were giving away an awful lot of freezes.
They were sucking the life out of the game.
They were hitting very hard.
And then the second half, no freezes at all.
They were just flowing everything.
And it was definitely tactical.
