Obviously, over the weekend, he said he expected there might be more military casualties.

And obviously, senators and members of the House are very concerned that they have no idea kind of what the game plan is here.

Um, I think we've seen throughout the year that he is very easy for reporters to get a hold of, but then he will give conflicting statements.

And so I think that's 1 of the reasons why we're all waiting to hear something from, um.

The Department State Department from the Defense Department that can give us kind of a clear picture that comes from more kind of, uh.

sourced intelligence officials, things like that.

I think, you know, look, it's very clear that they used the protests and the Ayatollah's response to those protests as a justification for this year.

But I think this is something that the administration has long weighed and long considered.

You know, I think there's no love lost between Iran and the president.

The president sees himself as probably he sees himself as the staunchest ally Israel has ever had.

Obviously, Israel and Iran are and have been embroiled in decades long conflict.

So.

It seems like regime change may have been the goal here.

You know, when Marco Rubio was on the Hill a few weeks ago, he was asked whether he wanted to do a regime change in Iran.

And he sort of flippantly said it would be great if there were a new leader in Iran and didn't kind of commit one way or the other.

It seems like that's where we're headed.

But it's also very hard to know, as my colleagues have reported, how this ends, how they replace the Ayatollah.

And so I think that's one of the issues here is no one seems to really know what the end goal is.
