When you're listening to young people and they're in the throes of an argument about politics or this, that or the other, you kind of, it's very enjoyable nearly to let them at it because you feel, well, we had our innings and we had our conversations back in the 80s.

And it's almost lovely to see them engaging with it.

And I think it's the same with intimacy or sexuality.

I think it's lovely to see young ones out, like young women, for example, with the good weather, the first bit of good weather, there's something like birds about them, you know, they get fierce excited.

And the wee miniskirts come on, right?

So the dress really gets dramatically changed the first day there's good weather.

If you're walking down a balls bridge there into town last night after, you know, good weather, everybody's out in their finery, as they say.

And it's lovely.

God almighty.

I remember a travelling woman again, Julia McDonagh, she said to me, she was giving off one time those young ones and they had a party in the hotel and after the party they had big plastic bags and they were going around collecting all the mess, you know, the bits of sandwiches and the bits of food and balloons.

And she said to me, Michael, she says, you know, young people, they want to be up on the moon all the time.

And then she looked at me and she said, but Mikey, you know, you and me know you can't be up in the moon all the time.

I always remembered it.

You need balance and you need balance even to enjoy the fun, because if it was always sunny, I think we wouldn't enjoy it as much as Irish people do.

Yeah, that it's such a change.

And physically, it's such a miracle that if you think about the earth, it's tilted.

And so it's going around the sun and the top half of it starts to tilt away from the sun, goes away from it.
