Y yes, I th I think that's right.
I think I think any any uh mature uh any mature theory of uh how uh uh networks uh learn in this case is going to have to be a multi scale theory that uh takes into account the fact that the individual cells have agendas and memories and preferences and problem solving competencies and even the molecular mechanisms inside of them have it too.
Uh I I don't I
don't see any way how um we could get to the bottom of these things and have um all of the uh applications that will come of it without uh having a mature theory of the scaling of intelligence from from the lower levels up through the the higher levels.
Uh wow, yeah.
I mean, I I don't I don't think we can predict uh the next uh ten years, never mind a hundred thousand years out, but uh but uh but uh but I will just say this.
I mean, i if I had to think about it, uh the way the way that I envision this is that you know how you know how uh w when you first uh when you first went to school and you um uh heard about uh cavemen and you know and and it really sinks in that like, wow, you know, we
if you stepped on a on a rust you know, on a sharpstick you'll get an infection and you'll die and all it like how did they how did they live this way, you know?
And and I this is this is what I see.
People in the future, and I don't think it will be a very um uh long out future.
They will look back and will say
You're you're telling me that these people had to live their entire life subjected to dumb bacteria, viruses, some kind of effect of some stray cosmic ray hitting their cells when they were an embryo.
They had to live in the whatever body they were given at birth by accident.
Not not not chosen for them by anybody uh for for their well-being, but just, you know, the results of trial and error um process of of mutation and selection.
And they had to live like this and they had to have
you know, their IQs were were limited to whatever whatever um they were they were given and and and and they would age and and uh have you know lower back pain and astigmatism and and kidney failure and all this uh you know uh a loss of uh mental acuity and all this unbelievable how did people live this way and and and that's that's what that's what I see.
I see a world in which most of the things that we struggle with today are just uh even unimaginable and and I I can't
cannot imagine uh my myself that a that a um um a mature um
