They did a great job.
I mean, Tony Beasley coming in, he's a wise soul.
Him and Tyra Brock are probably the nicest two guys in baseball to be on the base pass.
And they also really see the human being.
And I think it's hard to have a bad day when you're around them.
So those are two guys that are incredible.
The new bench coach, I played against him all the way through his adversity through life, his background with the Air Force and everything else.
There's just a lot of wins there.
And I think
Coming off of last year and all the movement, all the change, you have some consistency and some real male voices to speak life into these young men.
And then also some of these veterans that come in, they'll also be extension of this coaching staff.
I think that's the kind of big heartbeat that no one's really talking about because it's going to change a lot of things.
Because I think on the field, we're going to see better communication.
We're going to see things we haven't seen because there's going to be trust that hasn't been there the last couple of years.
We saw a little bit of it last year when Donnie took over, but I think it's really going to take off this year.

the missing link a lot of time.
I call it the human element, the H-E.
You have to understand what that guy's capable of, and you have to put him in the spots that he fits so he can kind of gain confidence and conviction in what he's doing.
And I think Donnie, especially with the bullpen last year, really impressed me.
