You know, it's maybe obvious, but you feel it differently when there are attacks on you and your organization.
This sort of complete—the hatred of Donald Trump throughout my agency and the willingness to do anything to stop him, even though he was president of the United States and signed their paychecks, were astounding.
And I think for me, I was just—

And their willingness to do anything was astounding.
I mean, you talk about the media coverage.
I mean, the media, when I was growing up, used to be what I call biased, where they present both sides and they would...
more favorably present the sides they agreed with.
But by this time, it's well beyond bias.
Only one side is presented.
In those 40 pieces, they never interviewed anybody who agreed with me or anybody who could explain what I was doing about visas, about the firewall, about editorial independence, about anything.
They interviewed only one side, and they were willing to lie.
I had a comms director who would try to correct their lies all the time.
After a month or two, he had to be transferred somewhere else.
He couldn't take it.
You know, he'd present the facts and they would print something else.
And I think maybe your listeners know this about the media and the deep state, but it's a different kind of knowledge when you're in the trenches.
And it's that kind of knowledge that I think I picked up.
