They're forced recon.
But they said, as they used a politically incorrect word, if we saw a Jap, we'd kill them.
That was it.
We didn't have to think about it.
These guys have to sort stuff out.
Who's civilian?
Is this woman carrying water, feeding her family?
Or is she hiding an IED?
They have to sort things out that they would never have been able to do at 17.
And they were really amazed by their courage and by the sophistication required of these young men and women.
It was really moving.
I mean, after we showed the film,
There was silence.
I thought, well, I wonder what they're thinking.
And then they came out with all the stuff and they all agreed.
Absolutely every one of them felt the same way.
And so I think the audience will feel that way too.
By the way, Steve, you're always saying I'm a nice guy, but I do think that the opposition to me
both when I was working for President Trump and previously at CPB and elsewhere, wasn't personal.
I never thought the people who were out to get me didn't like me personally.
