We're screening it on October 30th, and we're going to try to get a lot of veterans to come.
My wife, who's my business partner and was an executive producer along with Steve, is working to reach out to all of them.
And a lot of them want to come.
Not all of them are even in the area.
I mean, it's been a long time.
We were lucky to be able to interview them two years after the battle when their memories were fresh and they look like they do in the footage now 17 years later.
They've all had their own complicated lives.
But many of them really want to come.
And those that aren't coming want to watch it and tell their families to watch it.
And you're right that even though it's never been broadcast on PBS, it's sort of people have heard about it.
People have talked about it.
You and I, Steve, took it to a bunch of military bases a while ago to raise money.
So people heard it.
They've been waiting for it.
People remember it even 17 years later.
I think it's broadcast and it's screening will be a big event.
And I hope we can get some of the veterans from the Trump administration to come too.
It was very moving.
I wish the veterans of the film were there with me.
They were saying that, yeah, when they were clear island hopping in World War II, when they were at Iwo Jima or any of those islands, they were sent to the islands ahead of everybody else, right?
