It is a constraint.
You only have so much money you can apportion to each player, so you have to think about how you're going to attack this.
I think strategy is forged at the intersection of these things where you're talking about, you know, potential performance and what that performance is worth.
And that's been a large emphasis for what we've done over the last couple of years is trying to understand what something is worth at the end of the day, what you'd be willing to pay for it and to know when, you know, you're exposed.
Well, I firmly believe that you can't really succeed in the NHL in terms of being a cup winner or at least a contender without elite talent.
I think that's the one common denominator you can go back and look historically.
There's always been elite talent on the best teams in the league.
Of course, you'll have the odd one-off Cinderella-type run, but...
I think having superstar-type players is important.
I think it's kind of hard to moneyball your way into a cup without having some really elite talent on your team.
You can't over-efficientize a cup out of nothing.
But that being said, a huge part of this equation... Michael, St.
Yeah, there's going to be the odd situation like that, I would agree.
But I think in terms of their actual championship window, it probably didn't really exist.
They won one cup and that was that.
So you need to be able to fill in the edges around these elite players.
Because elite players, they're not only good players,
they are sort of a gravitation point to attract other players who want to play with them and that's where you get this positive feedback loop where you have good players that want to come to your market to play hockey players want to win and so and they want to play with other good players so you can see this cycle work positively and negatively and we've probably seen both over the last 20 years so
Yeah, I think that's where I'd leave that one.
