So, of course, those aren't the primary things that we would use to evaluate players now because the fidelity of the data has gotten much better.

It's gone from dozens of events to thousands in a game that are logged.

And it's not just the location of the puck.

You have where everybody is on the ice at all times and the puck.

So you can start thinking about, well, what interesting things can I do with this information?

So you can start characterizing high-level things like your overall impact on the game.

And so those definitions are likely going to be specific to each club, what they consider to be an impactful player.

But also you can look at the actions that a player takes

And this stuff is now getting into the realm of what the public does not have access to on an everyday basis.

So I'll speak very coded.

But those are the things we have access to now.

And it's a fun problem, right?

It's why we need curious people to ask curious questions.

When you have this type of data, how do I put a number?

How do I quantify the value of what somebody does?

This play right here, you know, what's that worth?

Um, and then how do you systematize that across the league in a way that is robust?
