Uh on the days he spent in BP's office, he said he made his own coffee and brought his own lunch.
I did that too, but maybe not as good of a lunch as this guy brought.
Anyways, whatever uh the the decision to terminate the chair was unanimous board action.
That says a lot.
And I think we've talked about in this previous podcast.
about concepts and approaches to remove uh directors who are problematic.
Um when you're gonna go over after a chair, you want uh unanimous action and that's what happened here.
Well well he came out hard charging with the media.
He had a media plan, obviously, and and he was pretty upfront.
He he said there was a public statement that you can pull down from the Times.
Um and I'll read it because it's interesting.
He said um he acknowledged that in his determination to drive change on costs, performance, the balance sheet, and shareholder communications, he might have pushed hard and challenged people directly.
Uh okay, what does that mean?
Uh you know, different things to different people.
Uh but he he also vigorously, vigorously disputed the company's characterization of his characterization of his conduct.
You know, that th this suggesting again that he had been bullying and berating senior and junior members of the management team.
It could be.
I mean this really gets to I think some of the real practicalities of whatever some of our members have to deal with.
