Uh if are tariffs going to have uh replacements, supply chain disruption, which was, you know, we remember a huge issue in COVID.

And and what the Wall Street Journal refers to is how AI is distorting practically everything about the economy, including the stock market, profits, the speed and composition of economic growth in trade.

In my mind, those are topics with which the jo uh the board has to have some basic appreciation.

on how it might affect the company.

The finance committee is the perfect m medium through which that can be analyzed and then reported to the board.

And then on the human capital committee's perspective, again, a ton of stories, and I think more conflicting than not.

We've got the job reports, hiring and unemployment statistics.

We've got reports about who's entering the market, who's d departing the market.

We've got the the focus on are the young uh seek the the

whether young people are able to access the market, how long they're staying in it, whether they're just simply staying on the sidelines.

And interestingly, the the question of whether old and young people are just giving up or are they re re entering the job market.

And then there's the whole future of job training and educ re education.

Uh again, these are critical topics for the board because of its obligation for oversight of workforce culture.

But the board's not going to have time to go through that.

Again, the Human Capital Committee is the perfect body to address it.

So uh it's a long-winded answer uh saying what works well is the committee structure in these t volatile times, which has the opportunity to digest and analyze these developments and then report back to the full board.

I think that actually is very good news in terms of a governance trend.

Well well certainly, uh, you know, we see a lot from the executive search firms uh uh a lot of paper on these topics at date and a lot of it's make for good read.

But from a cure uh corporate governance perspective, Rob, I think the lessons are a combination of both.

the traditional and the new.
