the cand some of the candidates uh and conflicts of interest and lack of independence.
So
I think what's new is
how the committee is formed and how it polices itself and how it vets itself and not just uh how it approaches the search process.
Um and then I think that you know also as I said we're gonna talk about more in our next podcast, there's an incredible need for a very robust uh director search and succession process and for truly meaningful approaches to director compensation.
But we'll hold that for uh
July.
That's a hot button for me.
Uh and I I'll never say that the competency based approach, you know, we're gonna have a board slot for each
type of uh competency we believe we need is wrong.
It's not.
It's a it's a very good faith approach to has long been good faith approach to getting informed uh expertise within a board.
My concern is that, again, going back to the theme that
we're we're getting into a new world in terms of governance issues is that we're just gonna run one out uh uh on the number of chairs available around the boardroom.
The the the area the number of necessary competencies is just going to be greater than the number of available board seats.
And I also am concerned
That these n the new generation we could call of governance issues is exposing some of the fault lines in the competency based board.
The extent to which they can be rigid in their application.
Um as said the inability to find find spots for all of the identified constituencies.
