So the four items be deferred until such time as the master plan for the Solid Waste Authority is completed.

The ordinance and LUPA combined are intended to expand the horizontal and vertical footprint of the landfill.

And the executive committee has taken the position that until such time as

uh we have completed the master plan or are in a position to say that either the horizontal or the vertical expansion is consistent with the goals and mission of the solid waste authority that those items should be deferred a formal letter is being directed this morning to the county commission and i'll make sure mr chair that it is directed to staff here at the distribution

So as we stand today, we're expecting the draft master plan in the coming weeks by the end of this month or the first week in February.

We have scheduled a workshop on that draft master plan for February 10th, and we will schedule and have planned to schedule additional workshops each month ahead of time for March

April and May.

It is our expectation that by April, we will have a very good sense of where we are on the solid waste plan.

I would just footnote this.

The Solid Waste Authority has been working as rapidly as possible.

We've been meeting each month.

There's been an enormous amount of data that has been accumulated and serves as a predicate to the master plan and the draft master plan that we expect.

And so the coming months will put this into better focus.

I welcome and I want to thank the county for its participation and partnership.

I understand that this has been a process.

I wish that in 2015 that we had had a better vision of what we were going to do with solid waste.

It may have halted the dismantling of the WTE plant.
