The country's defense minister is urging more people in the storm's path to evacuate before it's too late.

Hundreds of domestic flights and more than 60 international flights have been canceled into Monday, as government officials warned of a high risk of life-threatening storm surges along the coast of many provinces and regions, including Metro Manila.
