It was sort of like that was your three or four years and that's what you got and and we chose to be able to take the haircut.

We chose to keep the players um around it was all about maintenance and keeping that group together because we knew we had something special.

And look, when you sort of go through a lot of the lists over time, there's always normally

Something unique about the build.

So there's normally a a twenty-five to you know thirty percent sort of uniqueness about it, whether it was built through a rookie list or whether it was you know a bit of luck with father and son, um Geelong, for example, the way that they were able to establish their list as well as some draft picks.

Um Hawthorn back way back in 08 was more around their drafting and just they sort of the success of their draft was just better than everyone.

else through that period of time and um and you know for Brisbane it's been well documented and spoken about but the similarities clearly between the list build of um oh one two and three and then the second version of twenty four twenty five twenty six um has been on the back of you know I guess the zoning and the academy and you can sort of forget um you know I guess the original build of oh one and oh two and oh three was uh

um you know the access to talent that that that Brisbane Bears at that particular time had to not only just Queensland but Northern Territory.

So they had us because they're famous names.

Remind us 'cause they're famous names.

Queensland and Northern Territory.

So you had guys like Marcus Ashcroft, myself come through that system, Jac Jason Akermanis, um Clark Keating was drafted effectively as a 15 year old.

So that's that's incredible.

Didn't come as a 15 year old, but he was he was on the list.

And then of course you got Chris Johnson as well, who came through um the merger.

So you sort of say that's a bit of a free hit at talent.

And then the big fella, Jonathan Brown, who comes through as as father of son some number of years later.
