I just need to say that I find torn Manderly very Jewish coded.
And yeah,
I don't know how I feel about that.
I mean, I suspect that what they're going for is that, like, you know, they are deliberately heightening these relationships and, you know, the perceived stakes among all the characters.
And I do think that, like, there's an argument to be made that Misaria feels that, like,
it's kind of now or never as far as getting her claws really into Raniera.
Um, but I mean, I agree.
It was, it was, uh, that was yet another conversation.
I was like, surely you can talk about this privately.
So I'll advance maybe a thesis that is a little too kind to the episode, but I felt like
the idea of like, the last thing that Misaria says is like, you know, they'll see who you truly are.
And that's like a line we've had a couple of times throughout the show, right?
Like, you know, Rhaenyra says it to Alyson in the, you know, in the big dagger scene in season one.
And, you know, you do get the sense that Rhaenyra is losing her grip a little bit on, not reality, but on who she is as a person and on what, you know, like that whole like,
you'll, you'll do things that you don't recognize, you know, you'll become someone you, you can't understand.
Um, so I, I, I felt like that was kind of thematically the direction that they were going in, uh, not necessarily like successfully in, in all directions, but like, maybe that's kind of why I, I feel a little softer toward the episode because like, even as it is silly, I do sort of feel like they are grouping a lot of it around that idea.
