It could be something as simple as something someone said, something they did, or maybe even just an entire season where you felt rejected or criticized, maybe even betrayed.
or blindsided by something, right?
And so even though that happened many years ago, and you've moved on since then, that's what we do.
We're really good at it.
But moving on and healing are not actually the same thing.
And it's really hard to make life beautiful again, when there's a part of you that is still holding on to that moment in time that hurt you.
And so today I want to talk about forgiveness, but probably in a little bit of a different way than you've heard it before, because I don't want you to just forgive so that you can get over it.
Right.
I want you to begin seeing what God may have done with you and through you in those years.
And so there's a lot of really cool things to look at.
The strength that he built in you, the wisdom that you gained from it, the things that you can now see differently than you did before.
And maybe even now the woman you became because of what you had to walk through that you probably would have never chosen on your own.
Because Romans 8.28 does tell us that God works all things together for the good of those who love him.
And it doesn't say that everything that happens to us is good, right?
But God is very, very good at refusing to waste any of the things that happen.
And that is where I want you to go today with me.
You know, how do we forgive and begin to see the gold that God has been putting into some of those cracks in our lives?
