And then who does God say I am instead?
Like,
If you could distill this whole message all into those three questions, that's what I want you to do.
And then forgive whatever layer God is bringing up because there'll be another layer later and you don't have to worry about that today.
Tomorrow's worries all get to be there tomorrow.
Worry about what has to be done today.
And so if another layer of forgiveness comes up,
forgive again and again and again, right?

Because every time we do, we're taking one more piece of our identity out and someone else's hands and putting it back where it belonged in the first place, right?
With the potter.
And over time, I think we start seeing something else too.
You know, we stopped looking at our story and only seeing the people who hurt us and as ourselves as being victims.
And we begin seeing the fingerprints of God
who kept working on us through all of it, right?
Thank the Lord he didn't leave me and he will finish the work he has promised.
And so this is actually a really special week for me because so much of what we are talking about today is woven into the heart of what I wrote in Crowned in Beauty.
And so writing this book made me look at many of my own cracks, the things people said and did and the places where I hid because of it.
And somewhere in that process, I stopped seeing those things only as evidence of what had hurt me or who I am.
And I started to see what God had built in me through those moments, right?
