Obviously, I would have preferred it not to go to the last game of the season, but no, obviously.
I mean, that just seems to be the Scottish football.
This season, to be fair, is a nail-biting end to every division, so it's fantastic for the fans, but I would rather we were a bit earlier, but no, delighted just to get the league win today.
I mean probably more for the club and the community to be honest with you Gordon I think obviously the club had tried for about 10 years to get to the low league and been really unsuccessful and we managed to get over the line in the summer and then when we get in in the summer the plan was to try and just come in and try and just sell it in the league and then rebuild and look at moving forward to them but just sort of type of character I am I said to him that we need to try and go in and win the division so I think everyone's just delighted we've managed to do that in the first attempt and
then obviously we go out to League One next year so it's a fantastic achievement everyone connected with the club You're growing a club Mick what's the potential for growth in East Kilbride for you?
I think for any sort of club to have any sort of longevity in this country, it's about fan base.
I think if you look at the size of the town, it's about 80,000 people.
But there's obviously two massive clubs in this country, and they take up a large proportion of a lot of fans across the whole country.
So for us, it's about making connections with the wider community, trying to engage as many young fans as we possibly can.
And the last two years have made a massive contribution to that, and that helps if we grow that.
So if we've got any long-term plans...
No, I mean, I think it's just the type of character I am.
I mean, there was a real difficult moment.
They beat us 6-0 on midweek, and I think they went eight points clear, and I just think everyone at that point probably thought the title race was over.
Not even in terms of the points total, but just in terms of how good they'd done at the morale.
But I can remember that night going out to the changing room, and I said to the boys, listen, it's all believable, go on and win the league.
