And no one would want this, obviously, but it's ended up an advantage for Spain in a way it hasn't for Manchester City because suddenly he's maybe at his fittest in two years just as you're coming to the key point at the World Cup.

Zubimendi had obviously come on in the Euro 2024 final when Rodri went off injured and was brilliant.
And there's obviously a lot of debate about how, you know, whether Zubimendi is the future.
Well, if he is the future, not yet.
Rodri is still the best midfielder in the world.
There's been a lot of talk about France had a bad day.

They couldn't get the ball to them.
Some of that comes back to Deschamps' tactical choice.
But equally, and this is the issue when you play Spain, Ferguson used to call it when they get you on the carousel and they just exhaust you.

Pretty much what happened to France.
And that is the danger when you play them.
The one thing with Spain is, although I do feel this team is a little bit different because they have Yamal, but if you frustrate them, if you can stop them getting the early goal where the system works well in that context, then that's when it becomes a slightly different sort of game.
And that is going to be, I think, the incentive for anyone in the final.
