I was at all of their games in 2022.
They lost that first to Saudi Arabia.
And from then, it was sudden death in every game.
Everything felt so constricted.
And that's not been an element to this World Cup so far, certainly not for the biggest teams.
OK, Spain had a bit of it after drawing nil all with Cabo Verde, but they scored early on against Saudi Arabia and that was that.
And that's another one who might potentially kind of up the goals now, I mean, you know.
Yeah, I suppose this is.
I mean, with both Messi and Ronaldo, what we talk about here are kind of lessons in longevity.
And it's why it's always a bit unfair compared to like Maradona, Pelé, just because they are playing in a different era where sports science, rules, pitches, everything allows for longevity that it wouldn't have in the past.
And also demands, to make certain demands of them, but also some of that is down to their own personalities.
I must say, I would still say Messi's of a greater level, much better talent.
And I think we can kind of see that in performances so far.
González para Messi!
Messi, Messi, Messi!
Goal!
It was transformative by England, I thought.
I think what was so significant about it was the first half looked like it was going to be the same old story with England.
They were a bit chaotic.
It looked like, once again, the first good team they played.
