Thank you very much for having me.
Yeah, we've seen it shift pretty significantly in the last few years.
The price of installations across the country has come down really significantly.
And we're pretty much at the point now where if you put $20,000 on your mortgage, for example, to install solar on the roof, it'll return you $60,000 by the time those solar panels get to their end of life.
So that is a pretty remarkable outcome.
And what we're trying to really make sure more and more New Zealanders understand now is just when you amateurize the cost of these things, it's a fraction of the price of grid electricity, which is a fraction of the price of all other forms of energy.
So really starting to move New Zealanders down that rate of high adoption like what we've seen happen in Australia.
Yeah, the gap is only widening.
And this most recent electric homes and cars report that we put out doesn't actually use the inflated costs associated with the recent Middle Eastern conflict.
So it's done on long-term trends.
And yes, the gap just keeps widening further and further.
The technology just keeps getting cheaper and cheaper.
I mean, if you look at 2020, what electric vehicles are on the market versus what electric vehicles are on the market now and the price that they've all come down.
And on the other side, we all know that gas bills are going up.
New Zealand is running out of gas.
We all know that electricity bills are going up.
Yeah.
We all know definitely every day that we go to the petrol station, we know that petrol and diesel prices continue to go up.
So that gap is continuing to widen and will do so for a long time.
