But keep that in mind.
If you are looking at this and you're not a high power user, probably the best thing to do is get gas out of the home or look at investing in an electric vehicle first.
Just depends on what your budget is and how much finance you have access to in order to achieve these outcomes.
I mean, I think we're at the point now where, you know, it's six and a half a dozen, right?
Like you can get slightly more expensive, more efficient bifocal panels, and they will probably generate slightly more energy.
They might be slightly more expensive per kilowatt hour than regular panels.
And a lot of that comes down to the roof space you have available.
You know, if you've got enough roof space, you might as well go cover the roof with the panels that are, you know, reasonably adequately priced.
If you're pretty limited on space and still want to generate, you know, you might push it to 13, 14 cents a kilowatt hour, but you'll be able to get more production off your rooftop, which is going to help you throughout the year.
So, again, it really depends.
I think the answer is there is no right or wrong answer.
And probably the chances are whatever you choose, it's better than not choosing anything with the way the economics of the stuff now looks.
Probably 10 years ago, the advice was only put it on north facing.
Otherwise, it's not economic.
The price has come down so dramatically now.
On my own home, I have east and west facing.
What it does is they produce slightly less, but they extend the solar window significantly.
massively you know so in summer i'm still charging my car off solar at 9 10 p.m at night in some cases you know like this is the remarkable opportunity that has come from the price of these things coming down so dramatically we're even seeing people install a little bit on the south facing um to really catch the last of that sunlight in summer and i think you can do that to about 10 degrees so
Don't necessarily recommend that, but some people are doing that for various different reasons.
I think the overall thing is it just illustrates how much more efficient this technology has become.
