And as a result,

But yeah, you can go and put your four teenage daughters into the calculation and it will work out exactly what you should be doing first on our calculator.

And that can be a really good pathway to sort of step you forward.

And then the next thing is just to make sure that when you're talking to the solar installer, you're not installing a system to cover your electricity loads today, but what your electricity loads are going to look like in 2050.

And I almost can guarantee you by 2050, if not 2040,

you'll be driving two electric vehicles rather than two petrol vehicles.

You won't have gas in the home anymore because we're running out of gas.

And if it happens to be those big 40-liter cylinders or 60-liter cylinders on the side of the house in the South Island, which is known as LPG, well, then you're better off ripping it out today and financing a hot water heat pump because that gas is so expensive.

So it kind of puts that all in perspective for you.

No, because remember it's 11 cents a kilowatt hour to generate and you'll get 15 cents a kilowatt hour for everything that you export.

So nothing gets wasted, right?

So that's the important step.

The most expensive thing is getting the people on your roof to install the solar panels.

So when you look at a solar panel itself, if you were able to buy that from wholesale, it'll cost you $130 a panel.

Right.

There might be 18 panels on the roof, but it's still going to cost you $18,000.

Right.

So that sort of shows you that a lot of the costs are associated with the actual installation process on a household overall.

And so that's why I think, you know, future proof it because the most expensive thing will be getting the bloat back on your roof to install more panels because you didn't quite go far enough.
