There were these earlier abuse accusations from former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, who dated Miller while they were both working in the White House during President Trump's first term.
In 2021, Grisham had released her memoir where she had described an abusive relationship with someone who was later revealed to be Rep.
Miller.
And now there are these more recent accusations from his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, who, of course, as you mentioned, is Senator Bernie Moreno's daughter.
And Moreno and Miller have been involved in a contentious divorce-turned-custody battle for several years now.
And police reports show that Moreno had told police officers these allegations that Miller had
thrown her up against a wall, had poured hot water on her and even held a gun to her head.
It's important to note that all of these allegations Miller has denied and no charges have ever been brought against him.
And actually, I want to follow up on that.
So what is Max Miller saying about these reports?
Because we've heard from him several times in the last few days.
Well, that's exactly right.
Miller is claiming no wrongdoing.
On Tuesday, Miller was asked extensively about this pattern of abuse that various women have alleged against him, and he denied it all.
He claimed that he had been cleared of all charges against him in the court of law and with police.
And he argued that if they were true, then police would be investigating those claims further.
But essentially, Miller is saying that these attacks are politically motivated because he's currently running for reelection.
And on Tuesday, the House Ethics Committee just said that they are reviewing these allegations of domestic abuse and illegal drug use against Miller.
But he says that he will cooperate the committee and give them all documents that they ask for.
Lely, let's widen out here and just talk about what this means for the midterms.
