That's ABC's Juhi Doshi with our political unit.
She spent the last few weeks talking to people throughout that city who rely on tourism to survive.
We're talking the bellhops, the valets, the restaurant workers.
And according to Juhi, what's been happening lately in Las Vegas hasn't exactly been aces.
The city has been experiencing a steep decline in tourism.
Vegas welcomed about 3 million fewer visitors last year.
That marks about a 7.5% drop, a huge margin for a city that relies so heavily on people going out to dinner, hitting the blackjack table, and staying in hotels.
I spoke with Joe Spica.
He's a 44-year-old bellman and father of three.
He told me that working people in Las Vegas feel forgotten.
I used to be able to take care of multiple dinners for me and my family with my tips from one day.
Now, I'm lucky to get a dinner.
You know, as a bellman, when hotel occupancy drops, there are fewer bags to carry, fewer guests to help, fewer tips to take home.
And he says that his family is budgeting in ways that they've never had to do before.
Juhi says there are several reasons for the Vegas tourism slowdown.
Gas prices are a big part of it.
A lot of visitors to the city drive in from California.
But the problems go much deeper.
You have weaker consumer confidence with families feeling less comfortable spending freely on discretionary trips when they can barely afford groceries.
And the Trump administration's tariff policy, particularly as it relates to Canada.
