Can you coach as hard?
Now, knowing players can just say, see, I'm out of here.
Has it changed the players' attitude toward hard coaching?
I think it has, but the last few years that I was in it, it didn't change my perspective because I still believe that young men, even though they're getting paid a considerable amount of money, I think they want structure and I think they want discipline.
And even though they're
a millionaire, maybe, they want to be told what to do.
They want you to lead them as a coach.
So the advantage are, in my opinion, is coaches that have had a style of coaching for a number of years and they have front offices and general managers who handle the financial side of it and the coaches, for example, Kyle Whittingham that just went into Michigan.
Kyle is gonna coach football and he'll have
General managers and business guys handle that side of it.
And I think if you keep those separate, that's the best way.
And the players will accept that and they'll buy into it.
Finally, I love recruiting.
