They were desperate times.
That's what it was.
That's what it felt like.
I mean, you could reevaluate almost everything that Steve Eisenman has done, and I do wonder if that kind of audit is going to happen in the offseason.
Okay, you got one for whether or not Alexander Ovechkin will be playing hockey beyond this year?
So yesterday, in the second of a back-to-back against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals win 3-0 at home.
It was a really interesting weekend because on Saturday, the Penguins didn't dress any of their big guys.
No Crosby, no Malkin, etc., etc.
But those guys all dressed on Sunday for the game in Washington.
And then there was a lot of sort of
unofficial ceremonial stuff that they did.
Strom got kicked out of the opening face-off on purpose so Ovi could take it against Crosby.
They were taking pictures before the game.
There was this big ceremony as if to say, just in case this is Ovechkin's last ever game at home, we want it to be special.
And it was the 100th time that Crosby and Ovechkin had faced off during the regular season.
Do they maybe know something?
Well, now this is interesting.
Do I want to end my vacation, or do I want to be on vacation forever?
