More Americans have visited England than any other country outside of North America.

So whether your family traces its roots to England or not, there are a lot of Americans that have a personal connection there.

They have a personal connection to Paris, even if they're not French.

So I think France tends to drive viewership.

Germany's another good Western European example.

There are the stars, there's the history of success from a given country, and then there's a personal connection that just an average American sports fan might have because their grandparents grew up in this country, or they were there on a student exchange program, or they visited just as a tourist.

And I think those things tend to resonate in viewership for international competitions.

I think, candidly, something that I'm interested in and that we're all interested in is...

the Telemundo viewership and how much viewership is gravitating to us as the English language partner, how much is gravitating to Telemundo as the Spanish language partner.

I think we take a lot of pride in being able to deliver a big audience, but that doesn't necessarily mean rivalry or that we don't want them to be successful too.

I think my attitude is that in the end,

We're all Americans.

We're all American sports fans.

We want the World Cup to be as successful as possible across both Fox and Telemundo.

But we also take some pride in delivering the majority of that audience.

So we want to see Fox delivering most of the audience for a typical match, maybe three quarters of the audience for a U.S.

match.

And then we recognize that when Mexico is playing, Telemundo is probably going to be in the driver's seat there, but we just want to share as we can.

So I think we're paying a lot of attention to English versus Spanish and how that ratio lays out.
