So he always tries to find out.
But the one thing I do is his partner, Cindy, always wants to know what color the t-shirts are going to be so she can coordinate her outfits for the weekend.
And Cindy is an amazing volunteer for MaxDoc every year.
And so I did tell her it was the royal blue this year.
So the t-shirt reveal, very intentional, very intentional.
The rest of it I would say is probably more organic.
Everything happens quite naturally at MaxDoc in terms of the rituals that attendees go through, the things that they do outside of what I plan for MaxDoc is
Well, I told you how I found speakers for the very first MaxDoc.
That was off a list of people attending a barbecue.
But every year, okay, so there are a certain core set of speakers who do come back year after year after year, if they can make it.
Not everyone's been able to make it every year, but some have presented nearly every year of MaxDoc.
They are folks that people want to hear.
So I'm always thrilled to have them back on the schedule again.
But in the last few years, I've been making a concerted effort to introduce roughly 25 to 30% new speakers.
People who have never presented for MaxDoc Stage before, not new to presenting, not new to speaking, but new to MaxDoc Stage, let me put it that way.
25% new just to kind of keep things fresh and keep new perspectives.
Not everybody comes back again and that's their choice, but a lot of them have then become regular presenters themselves.
some who are now two or three years into it, and maybe next year they won't present, you know, because we're making room for another new batch of presenters on stage.
And I've already been kind of cultivating some relationships with folks I would like to present, people who attended MaxDoc this year that I think would be amazing presenters and have kind of put the bug in their ear that, hey, why don't you consider submitting to present next year?
